"On February 8th, 2020 we celebrated my brother Benny's 25th birthday. It was a day of great food, big laughs and even better company. Three days later, our world changed when my brother was taken from us by an unkind act that will not soon be forgotten. Every day of his life, Benny did anything he could to help the next person, from sharing cups of coffee, to lending an ear to listen, to buying bus tickets for strangers to get back home. He never stopped caring about those around him. It wasn't always a monetary hand either. His time and emotional strength was always being borrowed by the next person, but rarely did anyone hear him say 'No'.
Since his passing, we've met and spoken to so many amazing souls he touched all over the country. The prayers, stories, and memories everyone has shared with us have been heart-warming and proof that we aren't the only ones who were able to experience such kindness."
"Behind all the memories and stories we've heard, there has been an underlying sadness that we have never experienced. Consoling strangers that knew my brother, through their grief, has shown us something bigger than we thought was taken from our community.
Everyone is struggling, not only with the loss of our Brother Benny, but also because of the times we live in. Constant negativity and stress take a huge toll on our communities and something has to change. Someone has to step up and be that change.
We are here to do what Benny started, random acts of kindness, so we can continue this domino effect to members of our community that may need a helping hand. Whether its a bag of groceries, a shoveled driveway or lending an ear for 5 minutes, we want to remind people everyday to
B... Kind."

Share Benny’s Kindness is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization run 100% by volunteers.
All our volunteers or "Family of Friends" believe that acts of kindness have the power to create positive change in individuals, communities and the world. Our ultimate goal is to live in a world where kindness is a regular occurrence that becomes second nature to all, and mental health is a priority. We want to foster a culture of kindness in our community with the hopes of reducing our current social stigma, increasing access to mental health resources and creating a more compassionate resilient society that has more empathy for one another. Everyone in our family of friends who have either become a volunteer or supporter came together after sharing in the trauma of the loss of an amazing young man named Benny Nandin, he unfairly lost his life to an act of senseless violence. Benny has been our inspiration in all that we do and provide as a non-profit. In his lifetime he quickly became a role model by continuously providing kindness to everyone he came across effortlessly. After his passing his mother (our chairwomen) had multiple friends and acquaintances of Benny who reached out with stories of his selflessness, such as buying a stranger coffee or helping get a someone in destress a way out without any questions asked. These stories brought us all so much light to a time that seemed dark and full of sadness, and they provided inspiration to the rest of us to continue his legacy with similar acts and more. Our organization shares our kindness through donations, community events and even with a simple smile wherever we go. We strive to unite people of all backgrounds and lift each other up to foster a culture of inclusivity and compassion that transcends differences and empowers diversity. Our goal is to continue to inspire and encourage all the lives we touch through education and our many acts of kindness. With the help of our supporters, volunteers and community we are excited to witness the full ripple effect of Benny’s kindness.
